Currently, the demand for PAC based products is very high. In addition, there is a lack of hydrochloric acid, which has led to a further product shortage and an price increase of flocculants and precipitants based on PAC. FeIIICl-flocculants are also hardly available at the moment. A turnaround is not expected in the coming months.
The current shortage of precipitants presents us all with unprecedented challenges. In particular, iron-based precipitants and chloride-containing aluminum compounds are currently only available to a limited extent.
We are fortunate to live in a country where clean drinking water is readily available and flows out of the tap. Since this is legally guaranteed by the Drinking Water Ordinance, we rarely question this reliable part of our daily lives.

In December, Feralco Deutschland GmbH awarded students at the University of Duisburg-Essen with a prize endowed with a total of 1500 € as part of the “Feralco Water Award 2021”.
