Data protection is a matter of trust and your trust is important to us. The protection of your privacy is therefore of primary concern to us. So that you feel safe when ordering and purchasing and when visiting our websites, we conform strictly to statutory regulations and therefore provide below details of how we handle your data. 2. What data do we collect and process and for what purpose?
Personal data
Personal data are details regarding material or personal circumstances relating to a specific or identifiable natural person. Such data includes for example your name, phone number, address and all inventory data that you provide when registering and when setting up your customer account (customer-specific requirement). This does not include statistical data collected for example as part of our customer-specific requirement and that cannot be linked directly to you personally (e.g. number of storage tanks).
Customer account
For each customer who places an order with us, or who requests a quotation, we set up a customer account.
Collection, processing and use of your personal data
We collect, store and process your data for the entire processing of your purchase, including any subsequent guarantees, for technical administration purposes and for our own marketing purposes. Your personal data will be passed on or otherwise transmitted to third parties where required for the purpose of contract processing or invoicing or if you have provided your prior consent. For example, as part of our order processing, service providers engaged by us (such as despatch operators) receive the data required for the processing of orders and purchases. The data thus transferred may be used by our service providers solely for the performance of their responsibilities. Any other use is not permitted and does not occur at any of our service providers. To process your order we need your name, address and payment details. Your email address is required so that we can confirm receipt of your order and communicate with you. Your email address will also be used to send you confirmation of order and despatch and your invoice.
Use of your data for marketing purposes
As well processing your data for purchase fulfilment purposes, we will also use it to get in touch with you regarding your orders and specific products and marketing campaigns and to recommend products and services that might interest you.
Product recommendations to customers
As our customer you will occasionally receive product recommendations from us via email. These recommendations will be sent to you regardless of whether you have subscribed to a newsletter. In this way we intend to send you information about products from our range that, on the basis of your recent purchases from us, we think might interest you. 5. Credit checking
In order to be able to offer you the best options for choice of payment method, we have to protect you and ourselves from misuse. We will therefore send the personal data required for credit checking (first and last name, address) to the Verband der Vereine Creditreform e.V., Hellersbergstrasse 12, 41460 Neuss, which will use mathematical and statistical procedures to provide the assessment required. We will use the information thus acquired on the statistical likelihood of payment default (“Probability Value”) to come to a considered assessment of your payment options. 6. Secure data transfer, encryption, data storage
The transfer of your personal data will be encrypted in accordance with the latest technological standards. The data is held on servers within the EU.

Right to be informed
Under the Data Protection Act [Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG] you have the right to be informed without charge as to the data held about you and you further have the right to have your data corrected, locked or deleted. Right to object
You can object to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes (especially for personalised marketing messages and other marketing purposes). Right to correction and deletion

Right to restrict processing
