Feralco Water Award ceremony at the University of Duisburg-Essen

In December, Feralco Deutschland GmbH awarded students at the University of Duisburg-Essen with a prize endowed with a total of 1500 € as part of the “Feralco Water Award 2021”.

This prize, which is traditionally awarded annually, went to the three Master’s students who had received top marks in their Master’s thesis in the Water Science program. The Water Science program offers in-depth knowledge and tools for a deeper understanding of water chemistry, water analysis, water technology and aquatic microbiology.

The student Sophie Anja Simon with her Master-Thesis: “Detection of uncultivated microorganisms via Nanopore Sequencing” achieved the highest score and was glad about the first prize.
